Meet the Pros

 

   Marshal Robinson, PGA / Head Golf Professional

 

Marshal has over 15 years’ experience at public and private golf clubs throughout the southeast. Marshal has spent the past 7 years at Inverness Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama as The Lead Assistant Golf Professional where he led a nationally recognized Jr. Golf Program. Prior to Inverness Country Club Marshal spent 8 years in Nashville, Tennessee as The Lead Assistant Golf Professional at Nashville Golf & Athletic Club. Marshal is originally from Mississippi where he started his career at The Refuge Golf Course in Flowood, Mississippi.


Abbey Hartsell

 
Abbey Hartsell, PGA Associate / Assistant Golf Professional
Abbey has been working at Rock Barn as the Assistant Golf Pro since the summer of 2019. Before her time at Rock Barn, she spent four years at Lenoir Rhyne University and played on the Women’s Golf team. Abbey is currently enrolled in the PGA PGM 3.0 program to obtain her Class A certification.
Some of her awards throughout her collegiate career include: South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year, SAC Player of the Year, Four-time First Team All- Conference, Second Team All-American, three-time Southeast Regional Qualifier, four individual titles, and 2018 U.S Women’s Amateur Qualifier.

  Werner Riemer, PGA Associate, Assistant Golf Professional
Werner earned his PGA membership in 2006, and in 2008 became a Certified Professional in Golf Operation Management and Instruction. His 17-year golf career includes public and private golf clubs throughout Virginia and the Carolinas, including Birdwood Golf Club and Resort in Charlottesville. VA: Clemson Walker Course in Clemson, SC, and Quarry Hills Country Club in Graham, NC; and was the Head Golf Professional at Auburn Country Club outside Blacksburg, VA. In 2014 he relocated to Hickory with his family for a position with Catawba Country Club. Over the past several years, Werner has explored opportunities in the professional world, but returned to the golf industry in 2022 and is currently taking steps to get reinstated as a PGA Member. Originally from Northern Virginia, Werner earned a BS in Health, fitness, and Recreation Resources trom George Mason University.
