What do I need to bring to my appointment?

A Spa Concierge will provide a plush spa robe and sandals upon your arrival. Our fully-stocked locker rooms provide complimentary Spa Therapy shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, hair spray, mousse and razors. Please bring your swimsuit to enjoy our pool area. We ask that you do not bring valuables or jewelry (jewelry cannot be worn during treatments). We regret that we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged personal belongings.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This will allow you time to check in and change into one of our plush robes. We also recommend that you shower right before your treatment, as the oils used in the treatment are most beneficial when applied to clean skin. Your service will end at the originally scheduled time, so delayed arrivals will result in your treatment being reduced from the allotted time. In some cases, appointments may be rescheduled to prevent further scheduling conflicts.

What do I wear during my treatments?

We suggest you disrobe to your comfort level, keeping in mind the therapist will drape your body and uncover only the area that is being treated. The utmost discretion will be used to ensure your privacy at all times.

Should I shave before my treatment?

It is recommended that men shave at least four hours before a facial treatment. Women receiving an exfoliating body treatment should shave the day before receiving treatment.

What health benefits will I gain from visiting the Spa?

Many of our treatments are designed to provide relief to specific areas and are designed to relax and rejuvenate the mind and body. This reduction in stress is an important step that you can take towards better overall health.

Whom should I inform of my personal health issues?

If you have any physical problems, allergies, cancer, or have had recent major surgery, please inform us when you make your appointment. Upon arrival you will be asked to provide a complete medical history. This will help the therapist provide you with the “Ultimate Spa Experience”. The safety and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance to The Spa at Rock Barn. Therefore, we reserve the right to refuse service if we determine that your health could be compromised as a result of any spa treatment. For the safety of our guests and employees, we will not perform nail treatments on guests with a contagious ailment.

Should I use the spa if I am pregnant?

While there are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, there are many beneficial treatments that are perfectly safe. Please notify our spa personnel when booking an appointment if you are pregnant, so they may offer guidance. For your safety, if you are within your first trimester of pregnancy, massage treatments will not be performed.

How long should I stay in the sauna or steam room?

Use of saunas and steam rooms is beneficial before and after treatments. The dry heat and wet steam aid in opening pores and relaxing muscles as well as providing respiratory benefits. We recommend 10 minutes at a time.

Is there an age requirement for the spa?

Spa guests must be 18 years of age to use the locker rooms and pool areas. Spa guests ages 16 & 17 may receive massages, facials, manicures and pedicures with a parent signing a waiver release form. The parent must remain in the Spa during treatment. Spa guests ages 8 and older may receive manicures and pedicures with a parent signing a waiver release form. The parent must remain in the Spa during the treatment.

Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 24-hour advance notice is required to avoid full charges of cancelled treatments.

Service Charge

A 18% service charge will be added to each Spa treatment or package. Additional gratuities may be added at your discretion. Member Pricing Rock Barn members will receive a 15% discount, excluding packages and specials. NOTE: All prices, services and hours of operation at The Spa are subject to change without notification.
