Folds of Honor Golf Tournament

Rock Barn's Signature Member Tournament is the annual Folds of Honor Tournament in September. This year’s tournament, open to Members, Sponsors, and member Guests, will take place on Saturday, September 1, and will be played on both the Jones and Jackson courses.

About Folds of Honor

Folds of Honor Foundation is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to families of those killed or disabled while in service to our nation. This organization was started by Major Dan Rooney, an F-16 fighter pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, who served 3 tours of duty in Iraq. After seeing too many flag-draped caskets escorted from planes and delivered to families, Major Dan decided to do something to honor the sacrifices of those families. Thus, the Folds of Honor Foundation was born.  Since 2007, over 16,000 scholarships have been awarded to families of fallen or disabled military heroes, with 1,360 scholarships totaling over $5 million in North Carolina.

Sponsorship

In September 2017, Rock Barn Country Club and Spa held its first Folds of Honor Golf Tournament. Thanks to the support we received from sponsors and players, our tournament was a great success and we were able to donate $13,000. The success of our 2018 tournament is dependent upon the financial support of corporations and private sponsors. Our goal for 2018 is to register 200 players and to achieve a donation goal of $50,000. To accomplish this goal we invite you to join with us by committing to becoming a sponsor. To inquire about sponsorship, please email Tournament Chairman Tom Shea.
